When you don't have lasagna pasta, this dish is a perfect way to satisfy your meat and pasta sauce craving for dinner. You can use any of your favorite pastas or stick to good old mostaccioli!

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • ½ diced onion
  • 1 C. water
  • 16 oz. mostaccioli pasta
  • 2 Tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 C. tomato sauce
  • 4 C. spaghetti sauce
  • 2 C. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ C. grated parmesan sauce

In a large skillet, combine onion, green peppers, and beef on medium-high heat
Add tomato and spaghetti sauce and cook for 5 minutes
In a baking dish, add half the meat sauce mixture
Top with half of the mostaccioli pasta
Add a layer of half of the cheese
Repeat the three layers
Bake for 45 minutes at 375 degrees F
