  • 5 Tbs. butter, softened (unsalted)
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 C. whole milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 C. cocoa powder
  • 1 container chocolate frosting

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly oil a doughnut pan, or a muffin pan. In a mixer combine butter, sugar, egg, 1/2 cup milk, and vanilla extract. The dough should look lumpy. Add salt and baking powder. Slowly add the flour and cocoa. Continue mixing until combined. Fill the tins halfway with batter. Bake for 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Top doughnuts with frosting and enjoy.
