Nothing says summertime quite like homemade ice cream! This only uses a handful of ingredients and is still creamy, sweet and smooth.

  • 3 cups of chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of milk
  • ¾ cup of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt

In a large, cold bowl whisk together the heavy cream, milk, sugar and vanilla and salt until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then, pour into ice cream maker and churn for 20 minutes. Then, pour in the crushed cookies and let churn for an additional 10 minutes. The ice cream can be served fresh or frozen.
