Matcha is green tea leaves ground into a fine powder. It is traditionally prepared in hot water and mixed with a bamboo whisk. This modernized version turns the tea into a cold and dairy free latte. Matcha has a slightly bitter, but smooth, and has a robust flavor that will be subdued by the sweet taste of honey.

  • 2 cups of coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon of matcha powder
  • 1 teaspoon of raw honey
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut flakes, for garnish
  • Coconut whipped cream, for garnish

Mix the coconut milk, matcha, raw honey and vanilla in a blender on medium speed until the powder is well incorporated into the milk. Serve over ice topped with whipped cream and coconut flakes. Enjoy!
