These Belgian waffles are perfect for brunch or whenever you want to show diabetics you care! These are delicious when served with some sugar-free maple syrup. Even diabetics can have an indulgent breakfast once in a while!

  • 2 1/4 C. flour
  • 1 Tbs. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 C. milk
  • 1/2 C. egg substitute
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 C. whipped topping
  • butter (optional)
  • sugar-free maple syrup

Preheat waffle iron.

In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

Stir in milk, egg, and vanilla until blended.

Pour 3/4 C. of the batter into the waffle iron and bake until done.

Remove waffle from waffle iron and top with melted butter and some sugar-free syrup.
