Million Dollar Mushrooms

These mushrooms will become a favorite. They are tender and tangy and go great with any grilled meat or burgers!

  • 2 pkgs. sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 C. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbs. butter or margarine
  • 1 grind black pepper
  • 1/2 sm. shallot, minced


Place mushrooms in skillet with a tablespoon of water and cover and cook through. Remove water from pan and add remaining ingredients and cook until shallots are translucent.

  • I totally agree with Ilove2cook2. We need to share our tried and true family favorite recipes with the next generation of cooks. Without circulation they will be lost forever. I know I love collecting those recipes who says my Grandma has been making this for 40 years, if it's been made for 40 years it MUST be GOOD!

  • This recipe has been around and 'oldies but goodies' should be given an 'atta boy'. My family goes crazy for this recipe, even the people that don't like mushrooms. Sorry you are disappointed, but there are many cooks out there just starting out that may need a good recipe for their agenda.

  • I completly agree with mamacloud...This recipe has been around for generations....I to have made this for 40 years and my mother did it for 40 years....Please screen your recipes more carefully.

  • I really expected someting phenomenal and new! This is a standard, millions have sauteed mushrooms and/or onions in butter
    with worchestershire sauce for decades. Myself for fourty years.
    Please, someone be more selective when choosing "outstanding' recipes
