  • 2 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 5 medium apples
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¾ cup sugar

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Blend the flour, butter, and salt in a food processor. Add the water and blend a little longer until the mixture appears sticky. Then combine it by hand until well blended. Roll it out on a slightly floured surface. Cut 12 circles in the crust and press each into the muffin tins so that the crust dough is on the sides too and looks like a bowl in the tin. Peel and chop the apples. Mix the remaining ingredients and spoon this into the muffin bowls. Cut the butter into 12 pieces and put one piece of butter on each pie. Top each with remaining crust. Bake for 18 minutes.
