  • 1 ½ sticks butter
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 12 black cherries

Begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F and lightly greasing a muffin tin with some butter. Then, combine the flour, cocoa powder, butter, and powdered sugar in a bowl. Mix thoroughly until the dough forms a ball. Place roughly a tablespoon of dough into each muffin cup in the tin and press down the dough with your thumbs to form a miniature pie shell. Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and use the back of a spoon to press down the center before placing the tin back in the oven for 1 minute or until the edges start to harden. Allow it to cool for 10 minutes and then carefully remove the crusts and allow them to cool for another 5 minutes. In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer until it is smooth. Fill the pie crusts with cream and add the cherries on top.
