Orange Breakfast Ring

Simple and delicious, this orange bread fills the house with a wonderful smell.

  • 1 C. sugar
  • 3 Tbs. grated orange rind
  • 2 12 oz. cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
  • 1/3 C. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 C. sifted powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbs. orange juice

Combine sugar & orange rind. Separate biscuits, dip each in butter & coat with sugar mixture. Stand biscuits on sides overlapping edges in a 9" tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove ring from pan, and invert on serving platter. Combine cream cheese & powdered sugar, mixing until smooth. Add orange juice, stirring well. Spoon mixture over top while rim is hot. Serve bread warm.
