6-8 servings


  • ½ C. unsalted butter
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1 C. flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 Tbs. baking powder
  • 1 C. milk
  • 1 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 4 C. fresh peaches, sliced
  • Ground cinnamon or nutmeg to top
  • Vanilla ice cream

Place the butter in a 13x9 baking dish and place in over at 375 degrees F to melt
Meanwhile, combine 1 C. of sugar, flour, salt, baking powder and milk
Pour batter into baking dish
In a pan, combine peaches, lemon juice and sugar, stirring constantly
When the peaches have softened slightly, remove from heat
Pour peaches over the batter evenly but do not stir
Top with nutmeg or cinnamon if desired
Bake until golden brown for about 15 minutes
Scoop into bowls and serve while warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
