  • 1 lb. lean ground chuck
  • 1 (16 oz) can kidney beans
  • 1 C. yellow onion diced
  • 1/2 C. green bell pepper, chopped fine
  • 2 T. chili powder
  • 1/3 T. cayenne
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 (29 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

In a large skillet over medium heat brown ground chuck and veggies, stirring often to keep meat from sticking or burning. Drain oil and fat and set aside. In a large pot combine spices, beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce together. Then stir in browned meat and veggies. Salt and pepper to taste, and bring contents to a boil, then turn heat down to a simmer and cover. Let cook for about one hour, stirring occasionally.

Serve warm.
