Not only is this recipe made in a pressure cooker, it's also vegetarian! Try it out as a side with some delicious cornbread or as a base for chili!

  • 2 C. navy beans, soaked and drained
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1/4 C. molasses
  • 1/3 C. brown sugar
  • 1/4 C. ketchup
  • 3 1/2 C. water
  • 1 pinch of salt, to taste

Add all the ingredients except salt to the pressure cooker. Lock the lid and cook for 45 minutes with a very light flow of steam escaping. Allow pressure to escape naturally after 45 minutes. Taste and add salt, if desired.
