Salted caramel is flavor is very common in ice cream, coffee shop beverages, apple pie and chocolate among others. You can use a variety of fruits in making this salad. Strawberry, grapes, bananas, tangerines, pears and apples are some of the fruits that you can use. Salted caramel fruit salad can be made with frozen or fresh fruit. Tangerines, grapes and strawberry sections freeze well to make a delicious frozen salad. There are two types of salts that work well for this treat; fleur de sel and sea salt.

  • 2 tangerines (peeled)
  • 2 bananas (peeled and cut into ten pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon or fleur de sel
  • 10 toothpicks
  • 1 pound grapes (optional)
  • 3 kiwis, sliced
  • whipped topping
  • caramel sauce
  • sea salt
