  • 1/4 C. butter, melted
  • 2 C. half-and-half
  • 2 C. milk
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 C. brown sugar
  • 4 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 C. raisins
  • 1/2 lbs. unsalted butter
  • 1 C. heavy cream
  • 1 C. brown sugar

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Coat a baking dish with butter and pour half and half and milk over bread in a bowl. Let it soak for 10 minutes before stirring. Stir eggs into the bread mixture and add sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and raisins.Spoon bread mixture into prepared baking dish and bake for 40 minutes. Meanwhile stir butter, heavy cream, and brown sugar together in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil. Let it simmer until it become thick and pour over bread pudding to serve.
