Any night of the week, this salad recipe would be a special treat. Now you can serve it up to your family for the holidays. Its inspiration comes from a traditional restaurant classic known as "Fruits de Mer". Your guests will delight in the "fruits of the sea" when they dine on this classic and light dinner pick.

4-6 servings


  • 1/2 lb sea scallops
  • 1/4 lb medium shrimp
  • 1 lb calamari rings
  • 1/2 cup pitted kalamata olives
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tspred pepper flakes
  • 1 lemon, slice

Bring a large pot of water to boiling. Cook scallops, shrimp, and calamari in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain. Peel the shrimp, and shell the scallops. Place cooked seafood and olives in a large bowl, and toss with lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Chill for 1 hour. Serve as is or plated over mixed greens. Garnish with fresh lemon slices.
