Seared Summer Tuna

In the summer tuna is one of my favorite fishes to throw on the grill. Cooking this fish takes a bit of practice but if you can master this technique you will be so impressed by the taste of seared tuna.

Wash the raw tuna steaks in cold water. On a large plate pour the sesame seeds evenly on the plate. Pat the tuna steaks in sesame seeds so both sides are coated in the seeds.

On the grill on a high heat place the tuna steaks on a grill pan. Grill each side for 2 minutes. The trick is to have the outsides cooked and the inside raw. Overcooking this fish will dry it out and it will loose all of it's flavor. Add salt and pepper to taste.
