These soft and chewy caramel squares were a staple candy in the sixties. They may be hard to find now, but lucky for you, there’s still a recipe! These soft squares are super easy to make and even easier to eat.

  • 2 C. light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 C. corn syrup
  • 2 sticks of butter

Place all of the ingredients in a saucepan and bring them to a boil. Lower the heat to medium and cook the syrup for 20 minutes and pour the mixture into a long pan prepared with parchment paper. Cool the sheet of caramel for 15 minutes or until they’re solid. Cut the sheet into squares and serve.
