  • 1 pound strawberries
  • 1/4 C. sugar
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 2 tubes of crescent rolls
  • 1 8 oz package of cream cheese that is at room temp.
  • 3/4 C. white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. milk

Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan. To make strawberry sauce, combine the strawberries, lemon juice, sugar, and water in a saucepan over a low heat. Cook until it is juicy. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. For the danish, line the pan with 1 tube of dough. Pinch the seams together. In a bowl mix the cream cheese, lemon juice, vanilla, and sugar together until combined. Spread this over the crescent rolls. Spread the strawberry sauce on top. Take the second tube of rolls and place it on top. bake in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes. For the glaze, whisk together the milk and powdered sugar. Once the danish has cooled some, drizzle the glaze on top.
