  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2¼ cups Colby-Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 egg
  • 4 oz can diced green chiles
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup honey

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and 2 cups of cheese. Add the eggs, chiles, oil and honey, whisking together until well mixed. Pour the mix into a greased crockpot and cook on high for 1½-2 hours. Serve warm with melted butter and topped with the remaining cheese.
