  • 6 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 small orange, sliced
  • 3 sweet onions, cut into wedges
  • 1 head of garlic, halved
  • 4 firm pears, cored, peeled and sliced
  • ¼ cup of olive oil
  • ¼ cup of capers
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a small bowl, combine olive oil, capers, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, turmeric and salt and pepper.
In a large bowl, toss the chicken, sweet onions, garlic and pear slices together with the mixture. Once the everything is evenly coated, place them on a greased sheet pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with orange slices and bake covered for 40-50 minutes.
Serve each chicken breast warm with a few slices of pears and sweet onion wedges on the side with an orange slice on top.
