Gnocchi is a fabulously fluffy little potato-based pasta and it has been inspiring our palates for a while. But, while traditional pastas are boiled, gnocchi can be baked and this recipe is super simple, just toast your gnocchi and toss it with some savory toppings.

Boil a large pot of water and cook the gnocchi for 4 minutes or so. Drain the gnocchi. In a large skillet, melt the butter and add in the thyme and oregano.

Transfer the gnocchi to the skillet when the butter browns. Cook until the gnocchi is crispy on all sides and then remove from the skillet and place the gnocchi in a large casserole dish.

Use a vegetable peeler to peel big shreds of cheese onto the gnocchi and slice the proschiutto into strips. Toss the pasta with the toppings and serve.
