  • 3 C. penne pasta
  • 2 (14.5-oz.) tomatoes, diced
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 C. fresh mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 C. Mozzarella

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cook penne pasta according to package directions. Drain and keep warm. Brown beef on large skillet with olive oil. Drain well. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, mushrooms, basil and salt. Mix well. Remove from heat and add to prepared 13x9x2" baking dish. Add pasta. Mix well. Cover and bake in oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cheese. Bake uncovered for 5 more minutes or until cheese is melted.
