  • 1 cup freshly brewed hot coffee
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Irish whiskey
  • Heavy cream, slightly whipped

To start the drink, pour hot water into a glass mug, warming the cup, then empty.
Pour piping hot coffee into a warmed glass until it is about 3/4 full.
Add the sugar, and whiskey, and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Top the Irish coffee with whipped heavy cream by pouring gently over the back of spoon then serve it hot!
