  • 14 oz. pkg Caramels
  • ⅔ cup Evaporated Milk
  • 1 pkg (18 Oz.) German Chocolate Cake Mix
  • ¾ cup Melted Butter
  • 6 oz. pkg Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Chopped Walnuts

Combine caramels and 1/3 c. of the milk in a saucepan over low heat; stir until caramels are melted. Keep warm. Combine cake mix, butter and remaining 1/3 c. milk, stirring by hand until dough holds together. Press 1/2 the dough into a greased and floured 9x13-inch baking pan. Bake at 350^ for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chips and nuts over baked dough. Spread warm caramel mixture over all. Crumble remaining dough over caramel mixture. Bake again for 15-20 minutes.
